500,000 Kenworths and Peterbilts Recalled for Crash Risk

Paccar released a statement in recent weeks warning their equipment and truck owners that a concern over a blown fuse that could effect dashboard illumination.

“The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration posted the recall notice after it was submitted by the Bellevue, Wash.-based truck maker. It covers 455,458 trucks that were manufactured between Jan. 10, 2007, and March 1, 2018.”-Transport Topics

Paccar notated that the blown fuse could effect truckers ability to see warning lights for items such as anti-lock brakes or electronic stability control. This then heightened the risk for crash risks due to the fact that drivers may not  be aware of the issues associated with lights not be able to be illuminated.

  • 2008 — 2020 Kenworth W900
  • 2008 — 2019 Peterbilt 330
  • 2008 — 2019 Peterbilt 335
  • 2008 — 2019 Peterbilt 337
  • 2008 — 2019 Peterbilt 340
  • 2008 — 2019 Peterbilt 348
  • 2008 — 2019 Peterbilt 365
